Astitva

What is Astitva? Astitva in Sanskrit means Existence, Identity etc similar meanings. Why did I choose this name? I see that the world is changing and every body is wanting to change to keep up with the pace of the changing world. In this rush, all that people see is a change from what they are. Well, even if they were sane, they would want change to become insane, as change is the buzz word. There is a balance that is disappearing in the same pace as the changing world. We are all missing a big point here. I think it is time that we take two steps back and think about what changes do we need. Where we want to change.. What is that we should respect about our current qualities. What is that we should respect about us, our house, our street, our town, our state and our Country.. My main concentration here is the country.. How fast the world is starting to look identical and boring. How the fragrances of each country is dissolving into one big industrial flavor. There is a need to give this a thought, and to contribute to our home country to re errect the pillars that are dilapidated with the "changing times". Pillars on which the glory of our country once stood.. now grossly miss understood..

About the Tracks

There is only one track at the moment in this album and more being developed in our music labs. The first track - Desh To Mahaan Hai.... which is kind of semi produced is being worked on at moment has its first look. I am being enthusiastic to put the first cut of Des to Mahaan hai here. Hope you like it and encourage me to do more ..:) ..

When I came to India in 2006 with an idea of settling down permanently, I had seen various changes in the country and a lot of introspection happened and the more I lived there , the more I liked being there. The country , the people, the beauty .. I did not take much time to figured out that India is indeed a snapshot of the entire world.. The country being huge, you can name a place in the world and you will find a substitute in India. The more I thought about it, the more it attracted me.. On 14th August 2006, I was tapping my feet to a beats loop that was running on my machine.. A couple of lines started coming in my mind with tunes, surprisingly , the language also changed while I was getting the lyrics .. I made sure that all my thoughts are captured in the lyrics.. I then recorded the first draft version of the song in my laptop with a multi track recorder software. The song was ready in its entirety for the independence day. I celebrated it with my song.. I took this with me to California to show my friends and family and my brother Mahesh got excited about this and started his first trial over his music arrangements skills.. He added some nice openings to the song..Back in India, I got introduced to a colleague of mine called Dinesh Sivaraj. A brief introduction with him revealed his passion for music and music production. On a windy afternoon in our office canteen, with a cup of tea in hand, I hummed this song to him and showed him the initial version that we recorded in the house. He suggested that I come to his house once for a meet up where we could take this song further.. He is well experienced in sound mixing, arraingement and keyboard programming. We did meet up and the meeting remains one of the most unforgettable moments till date. The result is the song... Desh to mahan hai
